With the last patch 3.0.2 and 3.0.3, a new direction came in the raid composition. No longer clearly separate roles, but each makes about the same. No tank (Warrior / Druid / Paladin) will be absolutely essential. Supporter will do almost the same damage as pure DD, but the support is not that important anymore: Buffs and Auras raid wide.
to the original idea for fantasy typical of the conspiratorial group for which each member is essential, does not fit anymore. A warrior for the rough, a magician for the tricks, a healer to ... ehm ... To heal a Ranger for the trail, that's something like that. This gave all participants the feeling of being needed and benefit from, the group stayed together.
Now it is different. The Rangers can I replace it with a second by a mage or warrior ... ... the main thing is, the number is correct. We'll see if Blizzard manages that way even to convey the impression that the classes play differently.
one hand sad that the feeling disappears, to know that you are needed. On the other hand, really good, because so groups are no longer blocked, because a friend would indeed come, but it is has not the right class.
